DARTH VADER STATUE Jul 13, 2010
Very cool looking and very big. For the price I got it for it was well worth it. Stands from base to the top of the lightsaber 17". The base could've been a bit better maybe made out of something heavier than regular plastic Darth is resin and made really well. The detail is pretty sweet.

I'm just going to get right to it...this statue is amazing. First off, as I was pulling it out of the box I was very impressed on how well it was packaged. The face, chest and mainly the front had a very soft sponge-like material to protect it from getting scratched. The entire piece was secured perfectly in a styrofoam mold to fit box.
The next thing I noticed was how heavy Vader himself is...the whole piece really feels sturdy and firm, unlike the "UNLEASHED" series which are plastic and bend simply from gravity itself. Don't get me wrong...I love the UNLEASHED series but they have nothing on this piece and now it's at a great price. And for a few bucks more it's worth way more than the UNLEASHED series in value. There's really no challenge as far as quality and appearence...SERIOUSLY, this is easily worth the dough.
That's the main reason I'm writing this review. This is NOT plastic and it's beautifully painted. It's brawn and demands attention. Vader himself is about 9 to 10 inches, but the piece dwarfs my UNLEASHED pieces. I'm seriously looking to buy a clear display case for this piece. It'll be worth it.
The picture is cool, but to see it in person is a collectors dream. It's much better than I'd expected, or even hoped for that matter, and now that I've got your hopes up I truly believe you won't be dissapointed.
In final...I absolutely love this piece and give major kudos to the creators of it...I hope they'll make more and at the low price, IT'S A STEAL. If you love Star Wars, and whether you love or hate or have a love/hate for Darth Vader, THIS PIECE IS A MUST for you! I GIVE IT TWO THUMBS and A LIGHTSABER UP...WAY UP!!!

Photo's can't come close to the dynamic's evident after assembling this statue. It's impressive size and the attention to detail is outstanding to say the least, and it's price is verry impressive as well.

I own a large collection of Darth Vader items. I was excited about this product since it was a high-end collectible instead of a toy.
There are however many flaws in it, which I will describe in detail:
1)The product is marketed as being 17" tall, but that is only if you measure it from the base to the tip of the raised lightsaber. The Vader figure alone is barely 7-8" tall.
2)The statue is said to be made of high grade resin. I could not find a single resin piece in the box. The base is plastic with screws, the figure is made of something similar to ABS plastic (hard plastic).
3)The price was fair for a resin statue 17" tall but not for a small, hard plastic figure. Think of it as a figure from the Unleashed line with a large base.
I would recommend to stay away from it and invest instead on a real high-end collectible such as the ArtFX/Kotobukiya vinyl figures (do an Amazon search for kotobukiya). They are about the same price, 11" tall and feature awesome sculpt and detail.
